Men’s Volleyball Earns Fifth Consecutive Team Academic Award
Success off the court earned ĢƵ’s men’s volleyball team the 2026 Team Academic Award from the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA).
The award recognizes college and high school volleyball teams that have maintained a year-long grade-point average of at least 3.3.
During the 2026 season, the Stars had a team GPA of 3.42, with 12 student-athletes achieving a GPA of 3.5 or higher.
“This marks the fifth consecutive season and 10th overall AVCA Team Academic Award for our program, which is a great testament to the dedication and hard work our men put in the classroom on a consistent basis,” said Volleyball Head Coach Doug Burchett. “Our university does a fantastic job of supporting the holistic student-athlete experience. I'm very proud of this group for achieving success on the court and, more importantly, in the classroom."
